Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading boats, trailers, and wood stoves using forklifts, reach trucks, or pallet jacks while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Support inventory control through accurate stock counting and updating warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
- Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and load & unload machinery safely and efficiently.
- Help with order picking and packing using order pickers and other mechanical tools to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain organized storage areas by stocking items properly and managing inventory levels with precision.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate shipping & receiving activities and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist in packaging products securely for shipment, ensuring quality control throughout the process.
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred; familiarity with warehouse distribution systems such as AS400 is a plus.
- Valid certification for forklift operation; experience with reach trucks, crane operation, and heavy equipment is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment and construction tools is advantageous.
- Strong physical ability for heavy lifting, stacking, and manual handling tasks.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for warehouse operations.
- Ability to operate RF scanners, order pickers, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery confidently.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on inventory management and control; previous warehouse supervisor experience is beneficial. This role is paid and offers a fulfilling opportunity for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a thriving warehouse environment!
