What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Dietitian position at Stoughton Health?
Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Dietitian to join our Food and Nutrition team on a Per Diem basis.
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for appropriately identifying and assessing the nutritional needs of patients. This includes developing nutritional care plans, conducting nutrition education and fulfilling all aspects of the nutritional care of patients and community as requested. The Clinical Dietitian works closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide inpatient care that is integrated and compatible with the patient-focused medical goals and objectives. Primary responsibilities include application of the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) including completion of the nutrition assessment, determination of the nutrition diagnosis, developing and implementing nutrition intervention(s), and monitoring and evaluating of the patient’s progress. The Clinical Dietitian also participates in compliance and quality performance improvement efforts to ensure that nutrition care is safe and effective. The Clinical Dietitian is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, is involved in team conferences, provides food and nutrition-related in-services, and contributes to the development and revision of hospital policies. The Clinical Dietitian also may be involved in community-based nutrition programs, and maintains professional competency and skills required for professional practice.
Position Requirements:
- Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Professional Experience: Prefer experience as a hospital Clinical Dietitian
- Required Licensure: Registered Dietitian or eligible for registration.
- Preferred Certification: Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
- Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Intermediate Skills - Able to perform fairly detailed formatting, create Word and Excel files, write formulas and prepare applicable charts for reports.
Work Shift:
- Per Diem, .01 FTE
- As Needed
- Minimum of 2 shifts per month
