🚀 Join a high-velocity aerospace team working on next-generation spacecraft systems. As an Electrical AI&T Engineer, you’ll own component-level testing from checkout to environmental qualification - building processes, designing harnesses, and working hands-on with avionics, mechanisms, communications systems, GNC hardware, and more.
This is a deeply collaborative role: you’ll interface with every engineering discipline and play a critical part in ensuring flight hardware is safe, reliable, and ready for integration.
⚡ What You’ll Do:
- Lead component-level test campaigns, including environmental qualification/acceptance and bench-level pre-integration checkouts.
- Develop and execute component-level test plans and procedures across a wide range of avionics and payload hardware.
- Write and run vendor component checkout procedures (C&I checks, in-rush, initial power-on, CMD/TLM, firmware flashing, etc.).
- Design and validate custom test harnesses, including jumper cables, BOB harnesses, and TVAC feedthrough assemblies.
- Support and operate environmental test facilities (vibe, TVAC, thermal cycle) while maintaining chamber readiness and cleanliness.
- Improve processes through documentation, automation, workflow optimization, and EDU-based test procedure development.
⚡ You’ll Bring:
- Strong understanding of environmental test facilities, qualification/acceptance standards, and component-level testing.
- Proficiency with power distribution and data buses (CAN, RS-422/485, Ethernet), plus hands-on experience with standard electrical test equipment.
- Ability to script tests using Python (or similar) in Linux-based environments.
- Skill in designing test harnesses and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and harness design tools.
- Proven ability to develop procedures, troubleshoot complex hardware issues, and document findings clearly.
- BS in Electrical, Aerospace, or related engineering field, with direct experience in spacecraft AI&T or avionics/component testing.
