We are seeking an Entry-Level Machine Design Engineer to join a growing manufacturing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer who is passionate about designing custom machinery, automation, and production equipment in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers to design, develop, and improve automated production equipment from concept through installation and startup. You'll have the opportunity to see your designs come to life while collaborating with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom production equipment, automation systems, and mechanical assemblies.
- Create 3D CAD models, assembly drawings, detail drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Assist with improving existing manufacturing equipment and developing new mechanical systems.
- Support project planning by preparing cost estimates, schedules, and material requirements.
- Source components and work with suppliers to obtain quotations and technical information.
- Coordinate with fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are built to specification.
- Assist with equipment assembly, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and production startup.
- Develop maintenance manuals, operating instructions, and spare parts documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Recent graduates and entry-level engineers are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with 3D CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar.
- Ability to create technical drawings and mechanical documentation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in machine design and automation.
- Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, pneumatics, hydraulics, and engineering materials.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as project needs require
