What are the responsibilities and job description for the Earthwork Construction Laborer position at Storey Brothers Excavating?
Storey Brothers is looking for a construction laborer to assist with site preparation and excavation projects by performing physical labor, operating hand and power tools, and supporting equipment operators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with digging and trenching for foundations, utilities, and assist in backfilling, grading, and compacting material.
- Load and unload materials and equipment at the job site.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site by following all safety guidelines and wearing proper PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous construction or excavation experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Ability to perform physical labor-intensive jobs
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Must be reliable
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. frequently.
- Stand, kneel, crouch, and bend for long periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
