Qualifications

What You’ll Do

As a Property Accountant, you’ll play a key role in managing the financial health of multiple self-storage properties. You’ll be part of a professional accounting team that values accuracy, efficiency, and clear communication.

Your responsibilities include:

• Full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties, including A/P and A/R
• Preparing detailed journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
• Reviewing and finalizing 20 monthly property financial statements
• Monitoring and reconciling mortgage and escrow balances
• Preparing owner financial statements and handling ad hoc reporting requests
• Assisting in annual budget development and financial planning

What You’ll Bring

• This position is onsite at our Stillwater, Minnesota Office.

• 3–4 years of general ledger accounting experience (real estate or property management a plus)
• Experience with Yardi Voyager is required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and both cash and accrual accounting methods
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
