What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Real Estate Associate position at Storage Point Capital?
Storage Point Advisors is expanding. We are hiring an Acquisitions & Brokerage Associate to support our 2026 growth and help drive our next phase of dealmaking.
WHO WE ARE
Storage Point Capital is an investment firm specializing in acquiring, repositioning, and exiting self-storage and commercial real estate assets. Our brokerage arm, Storage Point Advisors, sources and evaluates opportunities for SPC and represents quality assets across the CRE landscape. Together we operate as a full-cycle investment and brokerage platform focused on value creation, disciplined execution, and long-term scale.
THE ROLE
This hybrid position blends acquisitions and brokerage. You will source and negotiate off-market self-storage opportunities, call owners directly, qualify deals, and bring viable opportunities into our weekly Investment Meetings. You will also leverage in-house buyers through SPC and a strong network of REITs, private equity groups, and experienced operators. Public listings are a last resort. Our priority is closing transactions within our ecosystem.
You will receive direct mentorship from CEO Matt Horne, who previously led an acquisitions team to $1B AUM. In-office presence in Sarasota is preferred one to three days per week depending on your location and experience.
COMPENSATION
Multiple structures are available and will be discussed during interviews. Options include commission-only, draw-plus-commission, or split-based based on experience and production.
TRAINING & SUPPORT
You will complete a structured 30.60.90 development plan led by the CEO, including daily call coaching, roleplay sessions, underwriting guidance, and full access to our CRM, models, scripts, and internal AI tools. We provide the systems, leads, data, and buyer network. Your focus is execution.
LOCATION
Hybrid role based in Sarasota, FL. Ideal candidates are located in Florida, particularly Sarasota, Tampa, St. Petersburg, or Central Florida.
GROWTH PATH
Career pathways include senior acquisitions roles, brokerage leadership, or increased involvement within SPC’s investment platform. Growth is based on ownership mindset and production.
EXPECTATIONS
Your first 90 days emphasize activity, training, and skill development. After that, success is measured by deal flow, signed LOIs, listings secured, and movement through the pipeline.
