Stop Bugging Me Pest Control is a family owned company serving the vast majority of the Puget Sound Area and now expanding into Eastern Washington. We are looking to hire a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team located in the Spokane Valley. This is a position for someone looking for a career opportunity within a local growing company. The pay for this position will be $18 - $22 per hour depending on experience.

Stop Bugging Me offers great medical and dental benefits as well as a 401K. The company pays 75% of employee monthly insurance premium costs and all new employees are eligible after 60 days of employment. Free onsite parking is also available.

The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding customer balances and maintaining the company’s accounts receivable portfolio. This position will focus heavily on proactive collection efforts, including monitoring aging reports, contacting customers with past-due balances, resolving billing issues, securing payment commitments, and following up consistently until accounts are brought up current.

The ideal candidate is confident communicating with customers about money, persistent without being confrontational, highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling difficult collection situations professionally. Success in this position requires strong follow-through and the ability to prioritize accounts based on age, balance, and collection risk. This position will work closely with the Accounts Receivable Manager and regularly interfaces with operations staff, sales, and senior management to support the success of the business.

Job Functions:

· Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and identify past-due accounts requiring immediate attention.

· Place and receive collections calls, email notifications, and perform follow-up activities with customers.

· Maintain professional customer relationships while firmly communicating the need for payment.

· Escalate seriously delinquent accounts to management in accordance with company procedures.

· Maintain regular follow-up on accounts that are 30, 60, 90 days past due.

· Prioritize collection activity based on account balance, age, payment history, and likelihood of collection.

· Work to reduce the company’s overall accounts receivable aging and improve cash flow.

· Assist with final demand notices and other collection correspondence when appropriate.

· Proactively identify billing issues and work with appropriate business partners to resolve them.

· Provide customers copies of invoices or backup as requested and research specific questions as they arise.

· Provide backup administrative and technical support as needed.

· Support operations with customer service issues as needed.

· Perform special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

· Knowledge of billing procedures.

· Accounts receivable knowledge/experience.

· Previous business-to-business collection experience is highly preferred.

· Customer service experience.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.

· Problem solving and solution oriented.

· Experience with QuickBooks a plus.

· Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· 2 years of general accounts receivable/billing experience preferred.

· 2 years of college level training or equivalent experience.

· Retail service experience desired.
