What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter/Laborer position at Stonewall Ridge Remodeling & Construction?
We’re looking for dependable, hardworking carpenters and general laborers to join our local remodeling company. Our work includes residential construction, home remodeling, kitchen and bathroom renovations, and deck projects.
We are interested in both experienced carpenters who can work independently and motivated laborers who want to learn the trade and grow with the company.
Carpenter Responsibilities
- Perform framing, finish carpentry, trim work, and general repairs
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, and other building materials
- Work on kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects
- Construct and repair decks, including framing, decking, stairs, and railings
- Read measurements and complete work accurately
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Work independently and coordinate with the project supervisor
- Maintain clean and safe job sites
General Laborer Responsibilities
- Assist with demolition, cleanup, and job-site preparation
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
- Carry lumber, drywall, flooring, decking, and other building materials
- Assist carpenters with framing, drywall, flooring, painting, and general repairs
- Help with kitchen, bathroom, and deck projects
- Use basic hand and power tools
- Maintain clean and safe work areas
- Follow directions from the project supervisor
General Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation and the ability to arrive on time
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds or more
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work on ladders and remain on your feet for most of the day
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
- Ability to work safely and follow instructions
Carpenter Qualifications
- Previous carpentry, construction, or remodeling experience
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to measure, cut, and install materials accurately
- Ability to work independently and solve job-site problems
- Own basic hand tools preferred
Experience is not required for general laborer positions. We are willing to train the right person.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
