Restaurant Host – The Wild Rose Restaurant

Stonehurst Manor is seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized Restaurant Host to join The Wild Rose Restaurant in North Conway.

Our host is the first and last point of contact for our guests and plays an essential role in managing the flow of the dining room. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, stays composed in a busy environment, and understands how thoughtful pacing helps the entire restaurant deliver excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and the dining room seating chart.
• Seat guests, provide menus, and introduce them to their server.
• Answer telephone calls and record reservations accurately.
• Rotate tables fairly among servers.
• Pace seating to avoid overwhelming the kitchen, servers, or dining room.
• Maintain an accurate count of occupied, available, and resetting tables.
• Provide guests with honest and professional wait-time estimates.
• Communicate allergies, celebrations, special occasions, and guest requests to the appropriate team members.
• Coordinate with servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management throughout service.
• Assist with resetting tables and other dining-room needs when necessary.
• Thank departing guests and help ensure they leave with a positive impression.

What We’re Looking For

Extensive restaurant experience is not required. We are happy to train the right person on our systems and procedures.

• Is dependable, punctual, and ready to work.
• Has a naturally warm and welcoming personality.
• Is comfortable speaking with guests in person and over the telephone.
• Can remain calm and make good decisions when several things are happening at once.
• Is organized and attentive to details.
• Communicates clearly and works well with others.
• Is willing to step in and help wherever needed.
• Can work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Schedule

Evening shifts and weekend availability are required. Part-time and full-time opportunities may be available.
