Responsibilities
- Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding equipment
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing materials for efficient workflow
- Support skilled tradespeople with tasks such as framing, caulking, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing
- Handle heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and metal panels safely and effectively
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and roofing plans to ensure accurate project execution
- Use construction estimating techniques to assist in measuring materials needed for each project phase
- Perform general construction site duties including masonry work, restoration tasks, tile laying, and basic plumbing or welding as required
Experience
- Prior construction site experience is highly preferred; familiarity with roofing projects is a plus
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and safety equipment
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics to follow detailed project plans accurately
- Experience in related trades such as carpentry, masonry, remodeling or handyman work enhances your versatility
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated understanding of construction estimating processes and material handling techniques
- Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in roofing and general construction
