Experienced Roofer

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. Duties

• Install new roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, ensuring precise alignment and secure fastening
• Repair and replace damaged or aging roofs, including shingles, metal panels, tiles, and flat roofing materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and roofing plans to accurately execute project specifications
• Conduct thorough inspections of roofing structures during and after installation to guarantee safety and durability
• Utilize construction estimating skills to assess materials needed and plan efficient project workflows
• Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal sheets, or concrete forms to facilitate smooth installation processes
• Apply caulking, sealants, and other weatherproofing techniques to ensure roofs are fully protected against elements
• Collaborate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other tradespeople on remodeling or restoration projects involving roof structures
• Maintain a clean and safe construction site by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling tools like scaffolding, framing equipment, or welding apparatus

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a roofer with a strong background in construction site work and roofing projects
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and safety equipment required for roofing tasks
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to roofing systems and building structures
• Knowledge of various roofing materials including shingles, metal panels, tiles, stucco finishes, and flat roof membranes
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes for material procurement and project planning
• Experience with fabrication techniques such as metal stud framing or concrete forming is a plus
• Skilled in applying caulking, trim carpentry, masonry work including stucco application or tile laying as needed for restoration projects
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods
• Handyman experience across multiple trades including plumbing or welding enhances versatility on complex projects
• Excellent communication skills for reading schematics accurately and collaborating effectively within diverse teams

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
