Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce fabricated stone (quartz/granite etc.) countertops, shower walls, fireplace surrounds etc.. Your expertise will ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely, contributing to the overall quality and productivity of our facility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment and play a vital role in delivering high-quality products to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Set up CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming tools according to detailed shop drawings and technical specifications.
  • Operate CNC equipment including Baca controls, ensuring accurate machining of parts while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Read and interpret complex shop drawings/CAD drawings to produce precise components.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with team members on fabrication, tooling adjustments, and materials handling to optimize production flow.
  • Maintain detailed records of machine settings, production data, and quality control checks for each batch produced.
  • Assist as a saw or polisher helper.
  • Be proactive, loading and unloading product with a forklift when necessary.
  • Perform accurate measurements on pieces.
  • Handle materials appropriately and safely.
  • Assist other team members proactively.

Skills

  • Proficiency in CNC programming languages.
  • Familiarity with various stone materials such as granite, marble, and quartz and their properties is preferred.
  • Strong math skills for inputting specific dimensions and figures into the CNC machinery.
  • Strong understanding of shop/CAD drawings.
  • Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers accurately.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing principles including machining techniques, tooling setup, quality control procedures, and basic math skills.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing facility or factory environment with a focus on machining or fabrication is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills as CNC Operators use computer software to control machinery.
  • Problem-solving skills in order to detect issues in the creation process and find solutions to ensure the machinery creates the product provided in the draft.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
