Position Title: POS (Point-of-Sale) Tester
Location: Coppel, TX(Onsite)

Job Description 

The POS Tester is responsible for validating the functionality, performance, security, and usability of Point-of-Sale systems used in retail environments. This role ensures that all POS software, hardware, and integrated components work as expected before deployment to stores. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in QA methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

•    Test Planning & Documentation: Prepare comprehensive test plans, test strategy, and execution approach for POS projects.
•    Test Case Authoring & Execution: Create and execute high-level test cases covering critical business flows across POS modules.
•    POS Lab Setup: Establish and maintain lab environments including POS terminals, printers, handhelds, KDS, pin pads, and scanners.
•    Functional & Integration Testing for:  1. POS configurations (menus, pricing, taxes, payments, discounts, loyalty). 2.   End-to-end transactions (guest checks, multi-tender payments, KDS/printers, employee & labor management).
•    Hardware Device Validation: Test receipt printers, scanners, handhelds, pin pads, and other connected devices.
•    Database Testing: Validate transaction data, POS workstation DB sync, and central reporting DB accuracy.
•    Defect Management: Log, track, and manage defects in Azure DevOps, ensuring proper triage and resolution.
•    Collaborate with Cloud/DevOps teams on POS deployments in Kubernetes/Docker environments.
•    Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
•    Provide status reporting on test progress, risks, and deliverables
