Regional Human Resources Consultant (RHRC)

Location: Oklahoma City Region

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: Vice President of Human Resources

FLSA Status: Exempt

Travel: Frequent regional travel required

Position Summary:

StoneGate Senior Living is seeking a Regional Human Resources Consultant (RHRC) to support the human resources function across an assigned group of skilled nursing and assisted living communities within the Oklahoma region.

The RHRC serves as a field-based Human Resources partner to facility leadership teams, Human Resources Recruiting Coordinators (HRRCs), and Regional Directors of Operations (RDOs). This role functions as an educator, coach, consultant, and compliance resource to ensure consistent execution of human resources practices across assigned facilities.

The RHRC provides guidance and support in the areas of HR compliance, employee relations, recruiting and retention, performance management, policy interpretation, investigations, and HR process improvement. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with operational leaders while helping facilities maintain compliance, support employee engagement, and drive workforce stability.

This position requires regular travel to assigned facilities and a hands-on approach to supporting the day-to-day human resources needs of multiple locations.

Essential Responsibilities:

HR Compliance and Risk Management

  • Conduct routine audits of personnel files, onboarding documentation, I-9 records, and HR processes to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Identify compliance concerns and partner with facility leadership to implement corrective action plans.
  • Assist facilities in maintaining survey readiness related to HR documentation and employment practices.
  • Provide guidance regarding employment law, company policies, and HR best practices.
  • Monitor compliance trends and recommend process improvements to reduce organizational risk.


Facility HR Support and Development:

  • Serve as the primary HR resource and consultant for facility Human Resources Recruiting Coordinators (HRRCs).
  • Coach and support HRRCs in the execution of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance activities.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of newly hired HRRCs.
  • Promote consistency in HR practices and procedures across assigned facilities.
  • Provide ongoing education and support regarding company policies and human resources processes.


Employee Relations and Performance Management:

  • Partner with Administrators, Directors of Nursing, and other facility leaders to address employee relations matters.
  • Provide guidance regarding investigations, workplace concerns, corrective actions, and performance management issues.
  • Review disciplinary documentation, performance improvement plans, written warnings, and related employment actions for consistency and compliance.
  • Assist leadership teams in resolving workplace issues while balancing operational needs and employee concerns.
  • Escalate significant employee relations issues to Human Resources leadership as appropriate.


Recruiting, Retention, and Workforce Support:

  • Partner with facility leadership, HRRCs, recruiters, and Regional Directors of Operations to support recruiting and retention initiatives.
  • Participate in workforce planning discussions and staffing reviews.
  • Review staffing trends, turnover data, vacancy reports, and recruiting activity to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support implementation of recruiting and retention strategies across assigned facilities.
  • Assist facilities in developing action plans to address staffing challenges.


Operational Partnership:

  • Develop strong working relationships with Administrators, Directors of Nursing, Regional Directors of Operations, and other operational leaders.
  • Support organizational initiatives, policy implementation, and change management efforts.
  • Conduct regular facility visits to assess HR practices, provide coaching, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and resource to facility leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Human Resources to ensure alignment between company initiatives and facility execution.


Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations or business units.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, employment law, and HR compliance.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence leaders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region.


Preferred:

  • Human Resources experience within healthcare, long-term care, assisted living, skilled nursing, or other highly regulated industries.
  • HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations.
  • Experience conducting investigations, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Reside within the Oklahoma City metro area.

  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Ability to coach and develop leaders and HR professionals.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Effective conflict resolution and relationship management skills.
  • Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.


Working Conditions:

  • Frequent travel to assigned facilities, including day travel and occasional overnight travel as needed.
  • Work is performed in both office and healthcare facility environments.
  • May require flexibility in schedule to support operational needs.
