Middle School Campus Minister

Stone Ridge is seeking a Middle School Campus Minister to begin August 18, 2026.

Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, a member of the international Network of Sacred Heart Schools, is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls, Grades 1-12, with a co-educational Early Childhood Program, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten in Bethesda, Maryland. The LS/MS Campus Minister

• collaborates with the campus ministry team and the Middle School religion teachers in planning and preparing for division and grade level liturgies and prayer services.
• leads the Grade 8 Confirmation Class (requiring occasional after-school commitments) and supports sacramental preparation for the students.
• provides pastoral care to students and families, as needed.
• facilitates the MS Student Ministry.
• collaborates with the Campus Ministry team in planning and preparation for All-School prayer services and liturgies.
• collaborates with other faculty members to organize grade-level liturgies and prayer services, including, but not limited to arranging for celebrants, coordinating with designated music leaders to plan liturgical music, preparing readings and lectors, booking space for liturgies and practices, preparing programs, and serving as sacristan.
• attends LS and MS Assemblies and serves as a resource and support for planning assemblies on mission and ministry-related themes.
• provides leadership for the Middle School religion teachers in planning and implementing liturgical season activities.
• oversees the annual budget for Middle School campus ministry.
• collaborates with Lower and Middle school faculty members to coordinate Generous Hearts and Service projects and initiatives.
• maintains LS and MS Campus Ministry Bulletin Boards
• will participate in weekend events (about 3 per year).
• has the ability to drive a van.
  
  

Requirements

• attends all faculty and employee meetings and maintains good communication with families, responding to parents’ inquiries as needed.
• must be certified as a Catechist and a practicing Catholic.
  
  

The desired candidate has experience teaching or leading faith formation at the Middle School level in independent and/or Catholic schools. Knowledge and understanding of the Roman Catholic Church, the history and traditions of Sacred Heart education, and Middle School children’s spiritual needs are essential. Compensation includes salary commensurate with experience. The salary range would be $62,000-$95,000.
