Bakery Prep - Morning Production Assistant
Stoltzfus Meats is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bakery Prep team member to support our bakery's daily production. This role is essential to ensuring that our cakes, pies, and pastries are prepared, portioned, and packaged with care before hitting the shelves. Key Responsibilities:
- Portion and Package: Cut cakes, pies, and other baked goods into consistent, customer-friendly portions. Package items neatly and attractively.
- Support Production: Assist bakers by preparing ingredients, handling basic prep tasks, and ensuring products are ready for display and sale.
- Stock and Supply: Restock packaging materials and prep supplies; notify supervisor when inventory is low.
- Work Clean: Keep prep areas, tools, and equipment clean and sanitized at all times, following food safety standards.
- Maintain Efficiency: Stay on schedule with daily prep lists and support the team in meeting production timelines.
- Assist as Needed: Jump in to help with labeling, staging, or customer service questions when required.
What You Bring:
- Experience in food prep, bakery, or kitchen environments (preferred but not required)
- Strong attention to detail, especially with food handling and portioning
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
- A dependable, team-focused work ethic
- Willingness to learn and support multiple aspects of bakery operations
