About the role
Picture your day starting on the shop floor: you check equipment, stage materials, and partner with machinists so production never misses a beat. You’re the steady hand moving parts, spotting issues early, and keeping workstations clean, organized, and ready.
What you’ll do
- Run production equipment or provide hands-on assistance to machine operators to keep lines moving.
- Monitor machines during operation, recognize problems, and alert operators when something’s off.
- Move raw stock, finished parts, and packaged goods by hand or with hoists as needed.
- Verify order completion by counting finished pieces against requirements.
- Apply tags or markings so every component is clearly identified.
- Load and unload items to and from machines, conveyors, and other material-moving systems.
- Clean and lubricate equipment to support reliable performance.
- Operate powered industrial vehicles and mechanized equipment (e.g., forklifts and passenger vehicles) safely.
- Support facility upkeep: painting, floor care, washing walls and glass, trash removal, seasonal snow clearing, and similar tasks.
- Take on additional duties as assigned to meet production demands.
What you bring
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
Work environment and physical demands
- Typical schedule of 40–50 hours per week; may include overtime, on-call rotations, evenings, and/or weekends.
- Extended periods of sitting or standing as tasks require.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
