Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist equipment operators and foremen on active construction sites.
- Perform manual labor including trench work, material handling, site cleanup, and utility locating.
- Serve as a spotter and safety observer for operators during excavation and equipment operation.
- Identify potential hazards and communicate effectively to the crew to ensure a safe worksite.
- Maintain tools and equipment and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow site-specific safety protocols and company standards at all times.
- Travel to various job sites with overnight stays (1-4 nights/week as needed).
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions year-round.
- Complete assigned tasks independently or as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred (BC Excavating will provide it if needed).
- 1 year of construction experience preferred, but open to entry-level candidates with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Valid Driver's License required; CDL Class A preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Must be safety-driven with a strong attention to detail.
- Physically and mentally capable of performing demanding tasks.
- Able to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to show up on time for work.

Work Schedule:
Full-time | Monday to Friday | Overtime as needed | Travel required
Work Location:
In-person | Various Midwest job sites (Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana) | Travel required with overnight stays as needed
