Payments Specialist - Position Overview
The Payments Specialist supports Central Operations by administering and processing legal levies, garnishments, and other legal requests received by the Bank. This position conducts account research, completes quality-control reviews, maintains accurate documentation, and ensures requests are handled accurately, timely, and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Bank policies. The role also provides backup support to the Payments Department, and other operational tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process levies, garnishments, and other legal requests.
- Research account activity and transaction histories to support accurate responses.
- Meet required deadlines and maintain complete, accurate legal process records.
- Perform quality-control reviews and follow established procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate professionally with branches, customers, government agencies, and internal legal counsel.
- Provide backup support for payment returns and other Central Operations activities.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
