Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases for web and/or application-based systems
- Identify, document, and track software defects using issue?tracking tools (e.g., Jira or similar)
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Review business and technical requirements to ensure test coverage
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand?ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Maintain clear test documentation, including test cases and test results
- Learn and apply QA best practices, tools, and methodologies under guidance from senior QA staff
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and problem?solving skills
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to clearly document issues and communicate findings
- Familiarity with common software tools (Excel, browsers, basic databases, or ticketing systems)
- Willingness to learn QA tools, testing techniques, and industry standards
- Internship, coursework, or projects related to software testing or QA
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum environments
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, TestRail, Postman, or Selenium
- Basic SQL knowledge or understanding of APIs
- ISTQB Foundation certification (or interest in pursuing)
- Hands-on training and mentorship from experienced QA and IT professionals
