Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Sales Support Coordinator to join a local sales team in the Urbana-Champaign area.

In this role, you will serve as a vital link between the sales department and clients, providing exceptional support to ensure smooth sales operations and outstanding customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales team in preparing proposals, quotes, and contracts with accuracy and professionalism
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person, providing clear and helpful information
  • Coordinate order processing, ensuring timely entry and confirmation of client requests
  • Maintain organized records of sales activities, customer interactions, and documentation for reporting purposes
  • Support the onboarding of new clients by providing necessary information and facilitating initial setup procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing and logistics to streamline sales workflows
  • Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or additional needs
  • Monitor sales pipelines and update CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems regularly to reflect current statuses
  • Assist in organizing promotional events or campaigns aimed at increasing customer engagement
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on sales processes and customer interactions

Requirements

  • Proven experience in customer service or sales support roles, demonstrating excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail in documentation and data entry
  • Database and Excel experience are preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM software or other sales management tools is preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
  • Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer engagement
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and techniques; prior experience in a sales environment is advantageous
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications related to sales or customer service are a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
