We are seeking a Project Architect with strong experience in industrial and manufacturing facilities to lead projects from early planning through construction. This role combines hands-on design leadership with full project management responsibility and close collaboration with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities Pre-Design & Design
- Lead site surveys and field investigations as required
- Partner with clients to develop space programs and preliminary design concepts
- Develop and manage construction drawings and specifications with minimal oversight
- Lead internal and external project meetings, documenting action items and next steps
- Research and evaluate building materials, systems, and assemblies for design integration
- Coordinate and oversee multidisciplinary design teams, including structural, electrical, and HVAC
- Perform design analysis and calculations to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations
- Lead client presentations and design reviews
- Coordinate design documentation to ensure consistency across all disciplines
Project Management
- Identify and resolve design challenges and project risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Perform quality assurance reviews of drawings and design documents
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget
- Obtain required permits and agency approvals
- Support client and contractor relationships through all project phases
- Lead team, client, and departmental meetings
- Assist with the development of consultant and client contracts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required
- Active Architectural License required
- 7 years of design experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Experience managing projects across all phases of design and construction
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam Revu, and related design tools
- Rendering experience is a plus
- Strong project management skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- NCARB certification preferred

Pay: $90,000.00 - $118,000.00 per year
