What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Boarding & Daycare Assistant position at STL Dogbnb?
STL Dogbnb is a licensed, in-home dog boarding and daycare business looking for an experienced, dependable assistant to join our team starting around December 1, 2026.
Pay & Schedule
- Starting at $20 per hour
- Offering 15–35 hours per week
- Five-hour shifts, with 3–7 shifts per week
Responsibilities
- Supervise large groups of dogs during play and daily activities.
- Read dog body language and recognize when intervention is needed.
- Maintain a safe, calm environment for the dogs.
- Follow feeding instructions and daily care routines.
- Clean up accidents, pick up waste, and keep indoor and outdoor areas clean.
- Communicate observations or concerns promptly.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience managing large groups of dogs in a daycare, boarding, shelter, or similar setting.
- Confidence handling dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels.
- Dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.
- Comfort with an active, hands-on role that includes regular cleaning.
Please note: Owning dogs or caring for pets individually does not meet the experience requirement. Applicants must have experience supervising large groups of dogs together.
