What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Coach / Dog Trainer position at Fetching Pet Company LLC?
Interested in building a career working with dogs? We’re looking for a dependable, curious person to join our daycare team and grow toward becoming a skilled dog daycare coach and possible force-free trainer.
Professional dog training experience is preferred, but not required. We value coachability, sound judgment, and a willingness to learn.
What you’ll do
- Supervise groups of dogs and help maintain a safe, positive daycare environment.
- Learn to recognize dog body language and respond appropriately to different play styles and behaviors.
- Practice safe handling and support dogs’ learning through reward-based methods.
- Clean up after dogs and keep the building clean and organized.
- Communicate clearly and warmly with teammates and dog owners.
- As your skills develop, help coach owners through training exercises.
This is an active, hands-on role. Cleaning, careful observation, and working with people are essential parts of the job.

Our training philosophy
We use force-free, reward-based training. We do not use prong collars, shock collars, or physical punishment. Experienced trainers must be comfortable working entirely within this approach and doing so with their own pets as well.
