What You'll Do
As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Serve as a tax subject matter expert by providing guidance on tax laws, regulations, and strategic tax planning opportunities.
- Lead complex tax engagements, including project planning, organization, delegation, and timely completion of tax returns.
- Review and supervise tax return preparation, workpapers, research, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements while coordinating staff efforts to efficiently resolve tax-related issues.
- Mentor and develop junior team members while fostering collaboration and effective communication to meet deadlines.
- Support business growth through client relationship development, proposal participation, and ongoing professional education on federal, state, and local tax regulations.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar discipline; CPA designation is a plus but not mandatory
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in tax preparation, compliance, or advisory services
- Solid understanding of tax planning and compliance matters affecting privately held businesses, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written communication abilities with the capacity to interact effectively across all levels
- Comfortable utilizing Microsoft Office applications and various accounting, tax, and business software platforms
- Proven ability to conduct detailed research, evaluate complex information, manage multiple priorities, cultivate client relationships, and contribute to business growth initiatives
