WE’RE HIRING A PASTRY PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
Hourly Pay: $20-22/hr
Schedule: Thursday - Monday (flexible hours)
Reports to: Pastry Chef Rebecca Ellis
The primary role of the Pastry Assistant is to produce dessert items for service and events. The Pastry Assistant will work closely to support the Pastry Chef in all aspects of production, stocking and organizing, and recipe development.
We’re looking for a team player who leads by example and takes initiative. The ideal candidate is self motivated; committed to exceeding personal standards of growth and performance.

Responsibilities
● Prepare various dessert items for The Tavern menu and Feasts according to department standards in a time efficient manner.
● Ensure cleanliness and organization of food prep and storage facilities.
● Correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely.
● Set up workstation with tools, equipment, and supplies, restocking items as needed.
● Complete daily inventory sheet and prioritize production projects throughout the shift.
● Communicate when goods need to be ordered.
Requirements
● Knowledge of basic cooking and baking techniques, ice cream experience is a plus.
● Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
● 1 years of professional kitchen or bakery experience preferred, but not required.
● Ability to work a daytime schedule Thursday-Monday.
