Duties
- Lead gymnastics classes for children of various age groups, ensuring activities are fun, safe, and developmentally appropriate
- Demonstrate and teach fundamental gymnastics techniques, including tumbling, balance beam work, vaulting, and stretching exercises
- Monitor participants’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support skill development
- Enforce safety guidelines and behavior management strategies to maintain a positive environment
- Prepare equipment and ensure the gym area is clean, organized, and ready for each session
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress and any safety concerns
- Assist in organizing special events or competitions that promote team spirit and showcase student achievements
Skills
- Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education, especially gymnastics or related disciplines such as cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (Karate, Judo), swimming, etc
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster discipline and positive conduct among children
- Ability to work effectively with students of diverse ages and skill levels in a childcare or health club setting
- Excellent communication skills to motivate students and collaborate with team members and parents
- Familiarity with teaching methods for physical activities like cheerleading, climbing, or martial arts enhances coaching versatility
- Passion for promoting health, fitness, and confidence through engaging physical activities
