Details:

Weekdays 8am-5pm
-
Weekend or evening hours, only as needed
-
On call rotation to begin after 6mos. On call approximately every 7 weeks.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the configuration, installation and maintenance of Personal Computer hardware, software, and peripherals
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Graduated from High School or GED equivalent; Certifications and/or college degree in IT or Healthcare related field a preferred.

Experience in PC computer and peripheral maintenance; knowledge of current PC software and hardware technology and other office procedures; solid working knowledge of standard PC applications.

Ability to type at least 30 wpm.

Basic computer hardware/software and troubleshooting experience.

Previous experience with Meditech Client Server and/or Nextgen is preferred.

Proven organizational and time management skills; ability to work on multiple projects at the same time; ability to effectively analyze and problem solve.

Interest in and enthusiasm for computerization and its potential for improving departmental and interdepartmental efficiency as well as improve patient outcomes.

Possesses effective communication skills, effective interaction with peers and upper management, and ability to listen well to others.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections.

Must be able to talk and hear to converse with others, in person, and over the telephone.

Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare, process, and read written materials.

Able to go to any department in the building and to offsite installations.

Able to move small equipment and manual dexterity to handle small tools.
