About the Role
Stillpoint Talent Group is partnering with a nationally respected multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm to identify a Senior Electrical Engineer for its Laurel, MD office. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a firm known for delivering innovative and technically advanced engineering solutions across commercial, healthcare, higher education, industrial, and government sectors.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will serve as a technical leader and project manager responsible for the design and coordination of complex electrical systems while mentoring engineering staff and supporting business development initiatives. This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer with 8–15 years of experience in electrical engineering within an MEP or multidisciplinary consulting engineering environment who enjoys working directly with clients and leading impactful projects.

Responsibilities
- Design and manage electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and low-voltage systems
- Lead multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality, budget, and schedule expectations
- Serve as a technical resource and mentor for engineering staff and design teams
- Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Develop construction documents including plans, specifications, and technical calculations
- Perform electrical system analysis and coordination using SKM, ETAP, or similar modeling software
- Support proposal development, business development, and client relationship management activities
- Lead project team coordination and maintain accountability for technical execution
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NESC, IECC, IESNA, and applicable industry standards
- Participate in construction administration activities including submittal review, RFIs, and field coordination
- Support the growth and development of the local engineering team and office culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required
- PE license required
- 8–15 years of experience in electrical engineering within an MEP or multidisciplinary consulting engineering environment
- Strong experience designing electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, higher education, industrial, federal, or institutional projects
- Experience managing projects and leading engineering teams
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience with SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software required
- Strong understanding of NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, and related codes and standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Business development and client-facing experience preferred
