About the Role
Stillpoint Talent Group is partnering with a highly respected MEP consulting engineering firm to identify a Mechanical Engineer (PE) for its Dallas office. The Mechanical Engineer will lead the design and coordination of HVAC and plumbing systems while serving as a key technical resource for project teams and clients. This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer with 5–12 years of experience in MEP consulting who enjoys technical leadership, client interaction, and working on complex projects that positively impact communities throughout Texas and beyond.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and coordination of HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of commercial, educational, healthcare, civic, and institutional projects
- Perform engineering calculations including load analysis, equipment sizing, energy evaluations, and ventilation calculations
- Prepare and oversee construction documents including plans, specifications, schedules, and technical reports
- Coordinate with electrical, structural, civil, architectural, and owner project teams throughout all phases of project delivery
- Serve as a technical resource for junior engineers and design staff
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and client communication activities
- Review engineering designs for quality, accuracy, and code compliance
- Support projects through construction administration including submittal reviews, RFIs, site visits, and field coordination
- Assist with business development efforts, proposal preparation, and client relationship management
- Ensure compliance with applicable mechanical codes, ASHRAE standards, and energy regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 5–12 years of experience in mechanical engineering within an MEP consulting environment
- Strong experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare, education, municipal, institutional, or civic facilities
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and industry-standard mechanical design software
- Strong understanding of ASHRAE standards, building codes, and energy regulations
- Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to mentor and support junior engineering staff
