Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service with a lively, engaging attitude
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care
- Operate POS systems to process orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage cash handling duties, including cash register operation and basic math calculations for transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, adhering to food safety and handling standards
- Assist with food preparation and serving to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to team members
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred; passion for coffee is a plus
- Experience with POS systems such as Square is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in food service or retail environments is advantageous
