Creative Dining Services is looking for a Barista/Cashier to join our team in the Ent Credit Union headquarters in North Colorado Springs. You'll come to work in a spacious, state-of-the-art kitchen, and enjoy views of the mountains and the Air Force Academy while you do it! The Barista maintains operations at the Coffee Shop while maintaining a positive environment, which provides fast, efficient, and friendly service ensuring a quality experience for both our customers and team members. The Barista is responsible for providing excellent customer service, greeting guests as they enter or exit the dining area, product knowledge and education, and will also perform duties at the cash register, such as itemizing guest purchases and processing transactions of cash, check, credit or debit in payment.
Availability: Monday-Friday, 6:00am to 3:00pm - no late nights, no weekends!
Core Responsibilities
- Follows all cash handling procedures, counts back change correctly.
- Prepares and presents food & beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Responds proactively to prevent customer service situations, investigates and resolves customer incidents, documenting if necessary.
- Follow current trends in the coffee business, make operations or menu suggestions, assist in menu development
- Runs a register, other devices and Credit Card Machine accurately.
- Ensures accurate accounting of all transactions, collections and disbursements during work shift.
- Communicates with our guests in a friendly manner.
- Assist with special events as assigned
The ideal candidate will have:
- Barista experience - espresso and specialty drinks
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Basic reading and math skills
- Must be able to communicate and understand primary language(s) use by guests who typically visit the work location
- Knowledge and ability to operate cash register and various payment forms
