Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the serving team to deliver outstanding guest service aligned with brand standards
- Take and deliver accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and upselling menu items to enhance sales
- Oversee food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth service flow
- Train new team members on service techniques, POS operation (including OpenTable), and restaurant policies
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering duties while maintaining proper cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas through bussing tables and managing sanitation standards
- Support night-time operations including managing guest seating arrangements and host/host responsibilities
Experience
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or upscale hospitality
- Demonstrated leadership skills as a supervisor or lead server within a busy restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations management
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor that fosters guest satisfaction
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with upselling techniques to increase sales and enhance guest experiences
- Familiarity with culinary processes, food preparation standards, and basic math for accurate order handling and billing
- Background in nightclub or hospitality environments is a plus but not required
