What are the responsibilities and job description for the BAKEHOUSE Part-Time Bread Production position at Stick Boy Bread Company?
Position Description:
- Join our team to help produce some of the best bread in the High Country!
- Large scale bread production is carried out in phases as a team – daily production planning, mixing ingredients, shaping dough, baking, and cleaning up. All members of the team receive training to complete the phases they’re responsible for carrying out.
- Can be a physically demanding job which involves operating heavy production equipment, sharp knives, and lifting 50lbs.
- Applicants need to show competency and an eye for detail to follow recipes and carefully craft products en masse to meet company standards.
- Requires a good attitude and strong work ethic.
- Food production experience desired but not required.
Commitment:
- PART-TIME has the expectation to work 20-30 hours/week with availability between Sunday and Friday 2:30pm - midnight.
Pay and Benefits:
- PART-TIME starting is $15.50 per hour, overtime after 40 hours per week, accrued paid time off, accrued store credit per pay period, employee discount at Stick Boy and all sister businesses
Location: Stick Boy Bakehouse – 150-C Den Mac Dr, Boone, NC 28607 (our production facility next to Hatchet coffee in East Boone)

Our business is highly seasonal and often requires all hands on deck for our busiest weeks of the year – holidays! If you are unable to commit to working holiday weeks, Stick Boy may not be the best fit for you. We also experience a “low season” from January – April of every year with less hours available. During this time, we do our best to prioritize hours for those most in need and offer others a well-deserved reprieve.
