Job Title: Registered Nurse — DC (RN-DC)
Pay Rate: $54.50/hr

Schedule: 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN-DC) provides expert-level nursing care at Selinsgrove State Centre. The role may include functioning as a Charge Nurse, Staff Nurse, or Assessment Coordinator, responsible for coordinating patient care, supervising staff, and ensuring individualized care plans meet residents’ needs in accordance with Commonwealth standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current PA RN license or non-renewable temporary practice permit
- Ability to accurately enter health data into electronic medical records
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
Responsibilities:
Charge Nurse:
- Direct and coordinate nursing care on assigned shift
- Assess staff utilization, supplies, and equipment
- Supervise paraprofessional nursing personnel
Assessment Coordinator:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
- Meet with residents and families; complete required documentation
Staff Nurse:
- Provide professional nursing care in patient care or specialty areas
- Participate in infection control, quality improvement, and risk management initiatives
Clinical Competencies:
- IV therapy, heparin lock, medication administration (all routes)
- Catheter care, wound care, decubitus care, ostomy care, enteral nutrition
- Oxygen therapy, airway management, AED, EKG monitoring, glucometer use
- Neurological checks, full body assessments, Mini-Mental Status Exam
- Plan of Care completion and documentation
Pay: $54.50 per hour
License/Certification:
