Responsibilities
- Assist the Accounting team with day-to-day accounting and financial activities.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including reviewing documentation, organizing records, and assisting with reconciliations.
- Assist with general ledger account reconciliations and other month-end accounting activities.
- Help prepare, organize, and analyze financial data and reports.
- Assist with reviewing transactions and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Support expense reporting, invoice processing, and other accounting-related activities as assigned.
- Assist with maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
- Work with Microsoft Excel and other financial systems to organize, analyze, and report accounting information.
- Participate in accounting and finance projects designed to improve processes, reporting, and data accuracy.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and other departments to gain an understanding of how financial information supports business operations.
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation as needed.
- Complete special projects and financial analyses based on departmental needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Agribusiness, Business, or a related field.
- Completion of introductory accounting coursework preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
