This position is to help with the daily duties in the robot barn (RB). It is focused on the care and management of the lactating cattle. It will also help develop knowledge of operating and repairing Lely robots.

Responsibilities / Duties
- Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts and communicate with all team members in a professional manner.
- Fetch cattle for various projects and as time away from robot
- Be able to move and work cattle effectively
- Identify and treat sick cattle according to protocols established by OHC veterinary staff.
- Be able to follow list and complete tasks
- Be able to give injections and treatments. IM, SQ, IV and topical
- Work with others on the RB team as well as other OHC teams to accomplish the duties for the day
- Assist with the cleaning of Growsafe feed nodes.
- Some basic robot duties, i.e., resetting a robot, putting one back into operation, calibrations, and cleaning. With more to learn as time progresses.
- Associates degree or higher preferred
- Committed interest in dairy industry
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Must be able to consistently lift 50 pounds
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and the ability to learn and thrive on new programs
