What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter Level 1 position at Stewart Painting, Inc.?
Basic Function: To efficiently carry out painting and paint-related
duties in service to the accomplishment of specific jobs. Organizational
Relationships: Reports to: Field Supervisor, Field Manager, Crew Leader,
Job Leader Scope of Responsibility: As delegated by the Crew Leader or
Job Leader. Efficiently carry out painting and paint-related duties in a
professional and workmanlike manner. Ensure that all duties are carried
out properly and within the timeframe prescribed by Crew Leader or Job
Leader. Specialized Knowledge and Experience: Must have a clear
understanding of job-site safety. Must be able to perform most tasks
involved with completing jobs. Must possess knowledge of products. Must
know the definition of a properly painted surface. Safety: All employees
are required to always conduct themselves in a safe manner to ensure the
safety of Stewart Painting?s customers and themselves. All employees are
required to attend monthly Safety Training Meetings and must have a
clear understanding of jobsite safety. Additionally, all Field Crew are
required to participate in Daily Safety Huddles. Any safety incident or
infraction must be reported to their respective Crew Leader and / or
Field Supervisor. Safety Requirements: PPE Lead safe practices Duties
and Responsibilities: Understand and follow preparation procedures (i.e.
sanding, caulking, sealing, etc.) Perform painting functions (e.g. paint
window casings, door casings, soffits, fascia, Rake boards, corner
boards, etc.) according to production rates with minimal supervision
Perform spackling, glazing, wallpaper removal, and blow-out patching
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization Use and move
ladders Maintain a full set of production tools
