What are the responsibilities and job description for the NIGHT ER HOSPITAL NURSE (RN) position at STEWART MEMORIAL COMMUNITY HOSPITAL?
Fulltime Night Position
- 36 hours/ week
- Night Shift, 7pm – 7am
- Every 3rd weekend/ rotating holidays
RN Responsibilities
As a nurse you will provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care process as necessary. Our patients will count on you to communicate and advocate on behalf of their physical and emotional well being to their family, other staff and physicians.
Other responsibilities include:
- Monitor and report patient medical conditions
- Develop plan of care and health teaching based on needs and readiness of patient/family
- Other nursing responsibilities as needed
- Cross train to ER and Med/Surg to provide support to units during shift
Position Requirements
- Graduate of a state accredited school of nursing with current Iowa RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certified or obtained within 6 months of hire
- ER experience preferred but willing to train.
