POSITION SUMMARY
The Site Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of residential construction projects from pre-construction through final punch list and client handoff. ClearPath Construction specializes in kitchen remodels, bath remodels, whole home renovations, and high-end outdoor projects including garages, pools, and pool houses. The Site Superintendent ensures each job is executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to ClearPath Construction’s quality standards.
This role is fundamentally a field leadership position. The Site Superintendent serves as the primary point of contact on the job site, managing subcontractors and tradespeople on a daily basis, enforcing project timelines, communicating proactively with clients, and escalating issues to the Field Manager as appropriate. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Site Leadership & Daily Operations
■ Maintain a daily presence on assigned job sites, managing workflow and coordinating all trade activity to keep projects on schedule.
■ Serve as the primary on-site point of authority, setting the tone for professionalism, workmanship, and site conduct.
■ Conduct daily site walks, identifying and addressing deficiencies in work quality, sequencing, or safety before they escalate.
■ Maintain accurate daily logs including progress notes, weather conditions, visitor records, and any incidents or delays.
Subcontractor & Tradesperson Management
■ Coordinate, schedule, and direct subcontractors and tradespeople across all phases of construction, ensuring proper sequencing and efficient use of time on site.
■ Hold subcontractors accountable to scope of work, quality expectations, and schedule commitments.
■ Facilitate pre-construction meetings and on-site orientation for new trades entering the project.
■ Escalate persistent performance issues to the Field Manager with supporting documentation.
Project Scheduling & Milestone Management
■ Work with the project management team to develop and maintain a detailed project schedule, updating it as conditions change.
■ Proactively identify schedule risks and develop recovery plans to keep projects on track.
■ Coordinate inspections and ensure all work is ready prior to scheduled inspection dates.
■ Track and communicate project milestones, delays, and completions to internal stakeholders.
Quality Control
■ Enforce ClearPath Construction’s quality standards at every phase of construction, from rough framing through finish work.
■ Review and verify that all work meets applicable codes, plans, and specifications before covering or closing in.
■ Manage punch list processes at project closeout, ensuring items are completed in a timely manner.
■ Identify rework situations early and coordinate corrective action before they affect schedule or budget.
Client Relations
■ Maintain a professional, communicative relationship with clients on active job sites, providing regular progress updates and responding to concerns promptly.
■ Set and manage client expectations regarding access, dust and noise, and project milestones.
■ Escalate client concerns that require management-level response to the Field Manager.
Safety & Compliance
■ Enforce a safe work environment on all job sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and ClearPath Construction safety protocols.
■ Conduct regular safety walks and address hazards immediately.
■ Ensure all required permits are posted and accessible, and that work is performed in conformance with approved plans.
■ Document and report any on-site incidents or near-misses per company policy.
Materials & Site Logistics
■ Coordinate material deliveries to align with project sequencing, minimizing storage issues and handling inefficiencies.
■ Verify that materials delivered to the site match approved specifications and report discrepancies.
■ Maintain an organized, clean, and professional job site at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
■ Minimum 5 years of experience in residential construction, with demonstrated experience managing tradespeople and subcontractors on active job sites.
■ Proven ability to run a job site independently, including scheduling, quality control, and client-facing responsibilities.
■ Strong working knowledge of residential construction methods, sequencing, and building codes across multiple project types.
■ Experience managing interior remodel projects (kitchens, baths, whole home renovations) at a high quality standard.
■ Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and permit documents.
■ Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across concurrent projects.
■ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
■ Proficiency with basic technology tools: email, scheduling apps, and photo documentation platforms.
Preferred
■ Experience managing outdoor and site-built structures such as garages, pool houses, or outbuildings.
■ Exposure to pool construction coordination or project management. Direct pool building experience is not required, but a willingness to learn pool project workflows is expected.
■ OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
■ Experience with construction management software (Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Procore, or similar).

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience
Company Vehicle: Company truck provided for business use
