Structural steel project manager

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steel and be proficient in various project management software tools. Knowledge of our fabrication management software - Tekla PowerFab - would be a huge plus. This role requires exceptional time management skills, effective communication, a commitment to delivering projects on time and within scope, and the ability to balance the needs of the project's many stakeholders. You will oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and completion. Coordination with the general contractor/construction manager and our own company's resources will be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet external and internal specifications and deadlines.
• Collaborate with general contractors/construction managers (our customers), subcontractors (installers and miscellaneous metal supply/install), and our internal steel fabrication team to facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion. Must always be looking ahead in an effort to foresee potential issues so that potential issues do not become actual 9-1-1 issues.
• Monitor progress / track project milestones and deliverables.
• Attend external client meetings as required per project specifications.
• Attend weekly internal production meetings regardiung project status, including updates on timelines, budgets, and any potential risks or issues.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager (5 yrs) in the structural steel industry including the ability to interpret a complete set of construction drawings, including structural drawings
• Proficiency with general computer technology as well as construction industry software (Procore, Textura, eBuilder, Trimble, etc)
• Familiarity with Tekla PowerFab is a huge plus
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Salary to be commensurate with experience/qualifications.

Job Type: Full-time
