Steward Machine is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist who will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathes to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. This position requires strong blueprint reading skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances in a job shop environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitie
- sSet up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision component
- sInterpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instruction
- sSelect and install appropriate tooling, inserts, and fixture
- sTroubleshoot CNC programs (G-code) as neede
- dPerform first-piece inspections and in-process quality check
- sMaintain dimensional accuracy within specified tolerance
- sMeasure parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, thread gauges, and other precision instrument
- sAdjust machine offsets and tooling to maintain quality standard
- sPerform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clea
- nDocument production, inspection results, and any non-conformance
