Equipment Maintenance Mechanic – Food Production
Full-Time | Hourly
Estimated pay range $21.40 to $23.40 depending on qualifications and experience
Must be at least 18 years and older
Position Description:
Under the direction of the Facility Manager, the Equipment Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing production and store equipment. This role is hands-on and focused on mechanical repair, including mixers, scales, VCMs, slicers, and other food production machinery. The mechanic will diagnose issues, replace worn components, and keep equipment running safely and efficiently. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as business needs require.
What you’ll be working on:
- Mixers, scales, VCMs, slicers, and similar food production equipment
- Bearings, pulleys, belts, gears, switches, heaters, and motors
- Mechanical breakdowns and wear-and-tear repairs
- Preventive maintenance on production machinery
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience repairing industrial or production equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of bearings, pulleys, belts, gears, and motors
- Experience replacing switches, heaters, and basic electrical components
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues independently
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Welding experience a plus, not required
Preferred, not required:
- HVAC or building maintenance experience

Your day-to-day:
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment failures
- Replace bearings, pulleys, belts, gears, switches, heaters, and related components
- Assist with equipment tear-down and rebuilds as needed
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery
- Determine whether equipment should be repaired or replaced
- Order and price out replacement parts
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
