What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Assembler position at Stevenson Search Partner?
PURPOSE OF JOB: Support manufacturing and new product development by implementing all aspects of medical device production, production documentation, prototype fabrication, problem correction, and related tooling.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Update supervisor of work status or problems with recommendations for improvement or correction.
- Provide feedback on product revisions or new products to engineers and other company personnel as appropriate.
- Comply to QSR including pre-production quality assurance procedures, pre-clinical testing programs, and post production QSR compliance in coordination with the Document Control, Clinical, and Quality Assurance functions.
- Ensure that processes/methods utilized are consistent with cost effective and reliable manufacturing practice.
- Actively work to minimize scrap while enhancing product quality.
- Assist with the manufacturing phase-in of new products or product changes.
- Train new and part-time assemblers on existing manufacturing processes.
- In conjunction with Manufacturing staff, identify tooling, machines, or fixtures which optimize manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area.
- Conduct laboratory testing protocols and document results.
- Maintain an accurate lab notebook and record of assignments and results including documentation concerning materials, parts used, concepts, designs, drawings, and processes.
- Complete specialized studies or experiments culminating in written reports as needed.
- Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures, QSR, and FDA regulations.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School graduate or equivalent required. AA in a technical field preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
8 years experience in medical device industry required.
Experience with catheter assembly technologies, processes, methods is a plus.
Must have experience with fabrication, equipment, or tight tolerance assembly, as well as experience with measurement tool operation and knowledge of bonding and adhesives.
General computer skills (MS Word and Excel) and the ability to read and understand engineering documentation is required.
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
