StevenDouglas Project & Interim Services in South Florida has partnered with a global professional services firm with international offices. Our client is seeking an Interim Tax & VAT Specialist to support a growing backlog of tax review and research work. This role will focus heavily on VAT-related matters, international tax considerations, and technical research.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support on various tax-related tasks, including VAT review and compliance
- Conduct technical tax research, particularly related to international VAT requirements
- Assist with clearing a backlog of tax and VAT review items
- Analyze VAT implications on legal services provided across multiple jurisdictions
- Review whether VAT should be charged to clients based on service type and client location
- Support efforts to identify and recover input VAT on eligible expenses
- Collaborate with internal teams across global offices to ensure consistent tax treatment
- Prepare documentation, summaries, and recommendations for internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Experience in tax, VAT, or audit (Big 4 or public accounting experience is a plus)
- Strong understanding of VAT concepts, especially in international contexts
- Ability to perform detailed research and interpret tax regulations
- Experience working with multinational organizations preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Preferred Experience
- Prior exposure to VAT on professional or legal services
- Experience supporting global or multi‑entity organizations
- Familiarity with recovering input VAT and cross‑border tax rules
