Job Responsibilities
- Champion all core accounting processes — including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and multi-entity consolidations — ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and GAAP compliance across the organization
- Direct month-end and year-end close processes, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while maintaining rigorous internal controls and audit readiness
- Own the post-acquisition accounting integration process, driving consistency in financial reporting, chart of accounts alignment, and intercompany reconciliation across recently acquired entities
- Establish and drive KPIs and SLAs for the accounting team, creating measurable accountability standards and ensuring the team operates with clarity, structure, and follow-through
- Lead, develop, and hold accountable a team, and their respective reports — modeling the ownership mindset expected across the department
- Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow monitoring, serving as a key financial thought partner to senior decision-makers
- Coordinate and manage external audits, liaising with auditors, preparing supporting schedules, and ensuring all compliance and tax obligations are met
- Implement and continuously improve accounting processes, systems, and best practices to support a firm in a period of significant growth and organizational evolution
Qualifications
- CPA required; 7 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing a multi-person team
- Demonstrated experience managing accounting operations through mergers, acquisitions, or post-acquisition integration — this is a critical differentiator for the role
- Deep expertise in GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, and compliance across a multi-entity environment
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills required; experience with project-based or advisory-professional services firm environments strongly preferred
Salary : $180,000 - $200,000
