Are you passionate about finance and the entertainment sector? We are seeking a talented and dedicated Senior Accountant to lead the financial operations within a dynamic and creative environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your accounting expertise in the vibrant world of film distribution, working alongside a collaborative and innovative team.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations and Month End Close
- Oversee revenue recognition, distribution fee accounting, and royalty/participant statement preparation.
- Maintain accurate and current records using QuickBooks Online and Expense Management system.
- Collaborate with distribution, marketing, and licensing teams to track financial deal details.
- Manage relationships with tax professionals and banking partners to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Required Skills:
- 4 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for candidates with background in entertainment, media, or distribution.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of revenue recognition, especially regarding licensing and distribution deals.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a flexible hybrid work environment.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 4 years of professional accounting experience, ideally within the media, entertainment, or film distribution fields.
Other Requirements:
- Located near the worksite or able to commute to a hybrid schedule (2-3 days on-site).
