Corporate Controller
Overview
StevenDouglas is partnered with a financial services company who is looking to hire a newly created Corproate Controller to the team.
The role will have ownership of all month-end close and play a significant part of their high growth as it relates to M&A activity and integration.
Responsibilities
- Own the monthly close end to end: trial balance, accruals, prepaids, reconciliations, tie-outs and the workpaper binder.
- Monthly financial statements with a written variance read before circulation.
- Multi-entity accounting across the platform and acquired entities: intercompany, allocations and consolidation. Accounts payable, payment runs, expense and card administration.
- Accounting structure and policy. Assemble the workpaper package, review K-1s before filing, and make the estimated payments.
- Manage monthly reporting.
- Oversee Financial, HR and operations diligence and the diligence checklist; closing deliverables, the closing statement and funds flow; contract assignment; post-close financial and systems setup, people and facilities; and the ongoing monthly operation of acquired entities.
Requirements
- Has owned a monthly close end to end.
- At least 7-10 years with a strong accounting background, month-end close and someone who has experience with M&A integration.
- Larger ERP experience such is highly preferred.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- This person will need to be comfortable making leadership decisions and work in a fast based environment.
