Steven R. Bassett Inc. is a professional tree, lawn, and landscape service provider established in 1998. Based in Verona, WI, our team of around 30 dedicated professionals serves clients in Madison, Dane County, and neighboring counties such as Columbia, Sauk, and Green. We offer comprehensive services, including landscape design, tree care, and ongoing maintenance for plants and lawns to ensure both health and beauty. Our mission emphasizes creative solutions and expertise to adapt urban ecosystems and maintain vibrant, thriving outdoor environments. On average we have 30 workers during the busy season so we are a close group and we would like to add to our family.  

Anyone applying for crew leaders need a minimum of 2 years of in-field applicable experience.

Willing to train motivated people with little to no experience. We want to build skills!

Landscape Maintenance/Horticulture Crews

Landscape Installation Crews

Mowing Crews

Landscape Maintenance/Horticulture Team:

Daily you will work with a team of professionals to maintain residential, commercial and condominium landscape beds.  This includes but is not limited to: mulching (wood, stone, etc.), planting herbaceous and woody plants, hand weeding, spraying weeds, dividing perennials, pruning shrubs and small trees, deadheading herbaceous and woody plants, and generally cleaning up landscapes with miscellaneous odds and ends. 

Mowing Team

Daily you will work with a team of professionals to mow, string trim, edge sidewalks, and blow off both residential, commercial and condominium property lawns.  This position also includes spring and fall leaf and landscape clean up, and some landscape work or other landscape maintenance when mowing is light due to weather.

Landscape Installation Team:

Daily you will work with a team of professionals to install landscape materials on commercial and residential properties.  This includes but is not limited to: flagstone/brick patios/walkways, dry natural stone or modular walls, plastic, metal and stone landscape edging, herbaceous and woody plants, trees up to 4inches in diameter, landscape lighting, and some other landscape items.  

There is a wide range of equipment available to use as well including: skid steer, mini skid, stump grinder, mini-excavator, tree auger, and more.  We believe in working smarter to provide a beautiful landscape to our clients.  

Most clients are repeat customers so you will also get to see your work grow and develop!

Paid weekly.

401k set up and matching up to 3%.
